The Handler Chain: Detect, Reason, Act, Resolve
Every security event processed by Cobalt Monitoring Intelligence follows the same disciplined four-step workflow — ensuring consistent, auditable outcomes at every site.
Detect
Access control signals, camera feeds, and sensor data are ingested in real time. The platform identifies events that require attention — from a Door Forced Open alarm to a person detected after hours.
Reason
The Handler cross-references context — badge data, camera footage, time of day, historical patterns — to determine whether the event is a genuine threat, a known exception, or a false alarm.
Act
Based on reasoning, the platform takes the right action — auto-resolving false alarms, sending Slack notifications, creating ServiceNow tickets, dispatching robotic endpoints, or escalating to a security operator for human verification.
Resolve
Every event receives a documented resolution — whether auto-cleared or human-verified. The full event record is logged in the Investigator for audit, trend analysis, and continuous improvement.
